Welcome Vanessa Schwarzkopf

Vanessa Schwarzkopf joined the Chair of Circular Engineering for Architecture in January. She graduated in architecture and urban design in January 2023 with her master’s thesis, “Dreaming Architecture,” which explored the potential of generative AI in the early phase design stages

She worked as a tutor during her studies, supervising various student projects and assignments. After graduating, she continued working as a research assistant at the Chair of Architecture in Context in Hanover and organized an excursion to Japan with student workshops. In addition to her position at the university, she worked on various projects in exhibition scenography, most recently at Sunder-Plassmann & Werner Hamburg.

Vanessa’s background lies in architecture, with a bachelor’s in architecture (B.Sc.) and a master’s in architecture and urban design (M.Sc) from the Leibniz University Hanover, while also studying at the ENSA Paris Malaquais in France as an exchange student. She is now eager to explore the possibilities of AI-driven design for circular design strategies.

The Chair of Circular Engineering for Architecture (CEA) develops research on matching reused architectural materials with people and projects through digitalization for a circular built environment. For more information visit our webpage.
